Dubaco was formed and registered in 1996.
Dubaco Safety Systems has been operating in the mining industry since 1996. We started by just manufacturing and providing stone dust barrier hooks and bags for the underground coal mines to prevent the propagation of the coaldust explosion. Over the years we have diversified by supplying the mining industry with mine ventilation devices and appliances that complies to SABS standard specifications 1287, barrier netting, sampling bags, sounding sticks and pinch bars.
The company is now expanding its services in order to be in line with the fourth industrial revolution (4IR) and smart mining.
We are working together with the mining industry in bringing collaborative solutions on challenges faced by the industry; this includes a new design for a scoop brattice, etc.
Members
Joseph Kachelenga is an experienced mine ventilation and occupational Hygiene Practitioner. He has worked in the gold mines involved in shaft deepening projects (Elandsrand and Southdeep), worked for the Department of Mineral Resources as a mine inspector and also in the coal industry as the MHSA Section 12.1 Appointee responsible for a big coal mine including new shaft development and mining through major dykes. His last position was as the acting group VOHE Principal for Anglo Coal SA.
